Mistletoe
It’s the most beautiful time of the year
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I’mma be under the mistletoe
I don’t wanna miss out on the holiday
But I can’t stop staring at your face
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I’mma be under the mistletoe
With you, shawty with you
With you, shawty with you
With you under the mistletoe
Everyone’s gathering around the fire
Chestnuts roasting like a hot July
I should be chilling with my folks, I know
But I’mma be under the mistletoe
Word on the street Santa’s coming tonight
Reindeer’s flying through the sky so high
I should be making a list, I know
But I’mma be under the mistletoe
With you, shawty with you
With you, shawty with you
With you under the mistletoe
With you, shawty with you
With you, shawty with you
With you under the mistletoe
Ayy, love, the wise men followed the star
The way I followed my heart
And it led me to a miracle
Ayy, love, don’t you buy me nothing
‘Cause I am feeling one thing: your lips on my lips
That’s a merry, merry Christmas
It’s the most beautiful time of the year
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I’mma be under the mistletoe
I don’t wanna miss out on the holiday
But I can’t stop staring at your face
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I’mma be under the mistletoe
With you, shawty with you
With you, shawty with you
With you under the mistletoe, yeah
With you, shawty with you
With you, shawty with you
With you, under the mistletoe, under the mistletoe
Kiss me underneath the mistletoe
Show me baby that you love me so-oh-oh
Oh, oh, oh
Kiss me underneath the mistletoe
Show me baby that you love me so-oh-oh
Oh, oh, oh
Kiss me underneath the mistletoe
Show me, baby, that you love me so-oh-oh, oh, oh, oh
Kiss me underneath the mistletoe
Show me, baby, that you love me so-oh-oh, oh, oh, oh

About the carol Mistletoe
“Mistletoe” is a Christmas pop song by Canadian singer Justin Bieber, released in 2011 as the lead single from his holiday album Under the Mistletoe. The song was written by Bieber along with Nasri Atweh and Adam Messinger, who also produced the track. It combines contemporary pop, acoustic elements and reggae influences, creating a modern Christmas sound while maintaining familiar holiday themes.
The song focuses on romantic love during the Christmas season. Instead of asking Santa for gifts or wishing for material things, the narrator expresses that being with the person he loves is the most important part of the holiday. The mistletoe becomes a symbol of affection and romance, connecting the song to the traditional custom of kissing beneath mistletoe.
“Mistletoe” represents a modern approach to Christmas music by blending pop culture with familiar holiday imagery. Its message reflects the idea that Christmas is often made special by the people we share it with. Through Bieber’s youthful style and contemporary production, the song became a popular addition to newer Christmas playlists while continuing the tradition of using the holiday season as a setting for love and togetherness.
